The sox have a number of players in charlotte ready to play in the bigs who will hopefully be up here if the sox continue to struggle this badly. brad eldred the best candidate for the dh role when and if we get rid of thome or first base putting paulie at dh or on the market for younger bats.Eldred has been hitting well since spring training and deserves a chance. Chris getz replaces ramirez at second base putting ramirez at shortstop and putting cabrera on the market getz has speed which we need dearly. Jerry speedster owens replaces dirty thirty the new uribe as we sox fans who as just been annoying at the plate expecting a walk every at bat. Iknow jerry owens is struggling in the minors but be realistic people he can't be any worser than swish at the plate and he can still bases and it sure wouldn't hurt the sox to try it.
